Our client is an electronic company which serves the Defense, Aerospace & Transportation, Industrial and Offshore markets. The company manufactures a variety of Interconnection Solutions for Harsh Environments.

Talent Fishers is looking for a Sourcing Engineer with a mechanical parts experience (stamping or machining) to manage and develop the operations in China.

Job description

The Sourcing engineer’s missions will be:
∑ In charge of specific commodities (turning and machining).
∑ Find suppliers in China as per Deutsch process for selecting suppliers RFI/ Pre audit and audit and as per Deutsch requirements.
∑ Coordinate actions with Deutsch Europe and USA.
∑ Send RFQ, conduct negotiations, and inspect piece parts as per inspection process and Deutsch drawings.
∑ Coordinate the communication between the Chinese suppliers and Deutsch worldwide on technical and commercial issues.
∑ Support suppliers for delivery adherence and quality compliance. Conduct supplier visits as required to insure timely delivery of product to Deutsch and provide open status on Deutsch buyer.

Job requirements

The Sourcing engineer should have these general requirements:
∑ Minimum 4 to 5 years experience.
∑ Experience in sourcing or vendor development or quality supplier.
∑ Experience in travelling in China.
∑ EXCELLENT communication skills (written and verbal).
∑ Very good at English (speaking and writing).
∑ Should be flexible for travelling in China and abroad.
