Bacardi China has been growing fastly and is now looking to recruit a BRAND MANAGER for the 42 Below brand.
Based in Shanghai, China and Reporting to Marketing Manager and Marketing Director, Your missions will be:
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development of brand strategy and activation plans for the 42 Below brand in China – specifically to achieve brand development and image targets.
- Responsible for the quality and consistent execution of ALL 42 Below activities
- Responsible as the KEY liaison with 42 Below Global team in areas of activity approvals, execution of global initiatives, performance reporting and general day-to-day communications.
Goal to achieve
- Agreed brand strategy and activation plans for 42 Below – providing brand direction, activity details, budget allocations, pricing, etc…
- In market activities and tools to develop the 42 Below brand
- Reports/communication to Global team to ensure transparency, consultation between Bacardi China and 42 below
Job accountabilities
Brand Management
- Develop locally relevant and consumer focused marketing programs to achieve brand objectives
- Act as brand custodian – leading internal communications on brand education, pricing, positioning and executional standards
Brand Activation
- Oversee the development, execution and evaluation of ALL in market activities
- Manage/Co-ordinate external agencies to deliver activities on time, on budget, on standard
Relationship Management & Performance Reporting
- Effectively manage relationships with Global 42 Below team – to ensure alignment, transparency and trust
- Manage communications with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, understanding and action towards a common goal
Budget Management
- Ensure all marketing expenditure is effective and under agreed budget
Your profile:
- Min 2-4 years of relevant experience within commercial enterprise – with youth / innovative / creative experience AND marketing related positions
Possible industry’s – Music, entertainment, creative agencies, youth brands, Tobacco, Fashion, FMCG, etc, …
- Good knowledge of functional areas of marketing, with experience in the following:

POS/Merchandise Development
Event Management
- Excellent English (written and spoken)
- Mandarin preferable
- Minimum Tertiary education (preferably with marketing / communications or business related major)
- Creative/Innovative thinking essential
- Understanding of “Western” values, humor and relationships highly desirable
- Extremely innovative / creative personality – willing to challenge the status quo
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Team player – fosters good relationships
- Business Acumen – but with entrepreneurial spirit
- High Autonomy – self motivated
