Sundries Manager - Shanghai

Our client is a leading Global Procurement Platform specialized in purchasing products for their worldwide clientele.

Our client is willing to develop its area of expertise by hiring a Sundries Manager who will be responsible the company’s Hard Goods department in Shanghai.

Job description
The Sundries Manager’s mission will be divided in these parts:
- Responsible for managing a division's profitability and long-range growth while meeting overall business objectives.
- Direct the development of short- and long-term division plans and programs for manufacturing, sales and merchandising as well as staff functions.
- Coordinate the execution of approved plans and programs. Evaluate results to assure achievement of division objectives.
- Direct and coordinate the manufacture and sale of division products to meet market requirements and division objectives for quality, quantity, cost and profitability.
- Direct the development of new and improved products and markets for the division.
- Maintain and support prescribed programs of employee relations, health and safety, training and development, compensation, and benefits for all employees in the division.
- Represent the division to internal and external customers.
- Keep management informed on division performance and recommend action to improve.
- Set up all process and procedures e.g. Suppliers portfolio and performance.
- Working closely with other departmental staff to achieve the above goals and objectives.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager, PF Asia Director and /or Stock Sales.

Job requirements
Requirements:
- College or above education
- 10 years of merchandising experience in hard goods with at least 3 years’ management experience.
- Asia Pacific trade sources (incl. China, if applicable)
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, if applicable
- Excellent communications and negotiation skills internally and externally
- Proficiency in using MS Office
- Successful experience in merchandising with a broad knowledge of Hard Goods.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated administrative and organization skills are required.

The Sundries Manager reports to the General Manager, PF Asia Director and /or Stock Sales.
